There is nothing better than fishing with Grandpa. It’s a time to learn important things about being a kid. It’s a time to learn that your grandpa was once a kid. It’s a time when coming home dirty and smelly means you got the job done. It’s a time to laugh and love.

Nothing better than fishing with Grandpa. Unless, of course, it’s riding machines with Grandpa. (How did my boys ever get so lucky as to have a Grandpa who owns construction equipment?) ‘Course, picking strawberries with Grandpa ranks pretty high up there too.
God bless Grandpas.

As a granpa who takes his grandchildren fishing, there’s nothing more rewarding than the look on a grandchild’s face when they hook their first fish. Of course you might have to get it started for them because they were off chasing frogs along the edge of the lake. Thanks for reminding me that it’s time to organize the first fishing trip of the summer.
